The Razzies Are Here At Last! And Not A Moment To Soon! And The Front Runner Is….Burlesque!!

Well it’s that time of year again, and It’s a sigh of relief to find that the shortlist of nominees for the 2011 Golden Raspberry Awards have been announced! For those a little less knowledgeable the Razzies are an anti-Oscar’s show of sorts, which celebrates the years worst films. And It looks like I’m not the only one that hated every dreaded second of Twilight : Eclipse and Sex And The City 2!

However, don’t get to excited because the full list of nominees are a little way of  and won’t be released until January 24. Thanks to the LA Times we have a the short list of nominees, and to be honest there’s no surprises amongst them — I mean Twilight is just asking for it…

Anyway, on to the nominees – leading the pack of rag-tag failures is Christina Aguliera‘s last-years bomb Burlesque, having already received a whopping five notches on the preliminary ballot. With several (soul-crushing) slightes against its name with nominations including Worst Screenplay, Worst Director, Worst Supporting Actor for Cam Gigandet, Worst Supporting Actress for both Kristen Bell and Cher and Worst Actress for Aguilera. Hmmm they might be on to something there…

Other actors potentially up for the panwagon of worst actor include Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke, Emily Blunt, George Lopez and Angelina Jolie, who ironically could be nominated for ‘The Tourist,’ in spite of her Golden Globe nomination for the same role. Which seems a bit odd, don’t you think?

Although (to there delight) Burlesque is not eligebable for worst picture, leaving it with it’s last a scrap of dignity — titles that are however up for the dishouners are;

Also this year ther Razzies have added a 3D section in honor of the 3D fad – which has spawned mostly crappy films…in 3D dimentions – that has hit the movie community the last year or so. This category has become neccasery because when movies added 3D in their name to justify a higher-priced ticket. A masterfull plan by the movie man! Nominees look to include Piranha 3D, Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Nutcracker in 3D and most likely even The Last Airbender and the box office success Clash of the Titans.

So that’s it from me for the moment, I will be on holiday for the coming week or so — and when I return the full list of nominees should be released. So catch ya later, and I hope to be getting back in the swing of things soon!

Monsters Inc. 2 Having To Push Back Release Date Because Of Final Twilight Film…..Damn Twihards

Is Monsters Inc. 2 in trouble of getting trampled by (dirty) Twilight fans? Disney’s Pixar seems to think so. The sequel that we all have been waiting for has had to move it release date because a clash in release with the final installment of the Twilight Saga.

Sorry Sully and Mike but even though you may be big scary monsters, they have twinkling vampires and low grade CGI Wolf’s — And no one can seem to beat the stigma of Twilight and it’s hordes of fans.

Originally setting of to theaters November 16th 2012 the now-new date has been pushed back to the 2nd – which hopefully means Monsters can make its money before hordes of Über Twilight fans trample them out of existence.

Twilight Parody Vampires Suck Trailer…….Sucks

Vampires Suck is a cheap parody of Twilight said to be “From the guys who couldn’t sit through another vampire movie”, and we have the trailer. I’m a bit sick of these kind of movies, I mean taking the piss out of anything-they-see-fit gets a little tiring. I stoped watching after the fourth Scary Movie. They are cheapley made rip-offs made from the minds of Hollywoods dumbest duo — writer-diretors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.

Yet they still make a shit load of money, I mean why can people be allowed to make this kind of crap. But oh well, check the trailer out below!

Paranormal Activity 2 Trailer too Scary For California!

Huh this has to be one of the richest bit of news in a while, after the release of the Paranormal Activity 2 trailer aired this week right before Twilight: Eclipse news that it had been swiftly banned from the state of California in the states for being too scary. Deadline reports that Cinemark (a cinema) executives had a chat with Paramount about pulling the trailer from several of its cinemas.

Just a couple of days ago we posted on the release of Paranormal Activity 2‘s trailer, so if you haven’t seen it then nows the time. But I think this is ludicrous, and personally I could hardly watch the first PA movie but think that the trailer itself isn’t actually that scary. Should they be allowed to do this?

Paranormal Activity was of course one of the scariest films ever, harnessing lighting and its shaky camera shooting style. Also a very tension building film, it relates to its predecessor Blair Witch Project which coined the shaky camera genre in 1999. And now we have some softies telling us that we can’t see a horror movies trailer simply because it does what any good horror film should do — excuse the crudity but make you want to crap your pants.

What do you think about banning a horror films trailer for being simply too scary?

Paranormal Activity 2 Trailer Will Make You Want To Shit Your Pants!

Here it is, the trailer for the sequel to one of the best shakey-camera horror films ever aside from Blair Witch Project (whichIi couldn’t watch without my fingers in my ears!) and I’m here to tell you it’s gonna want to make you scream — so don’t watch alone…or at night. Whats funny though is that this was screened   before Twilight Eclipse right in front of hundreds of 13 year old girls…..classic. So prepare for an epic shit-your-pants moment if your going to see it.

And for your comfort you can watch it right here! Below 🙂
