It seems that the formidable Paranormal Activity franchise is making isn’t going away anytime soon (sigh), and it looks like to our misfortune that a third (and lets hope final) Paranormal is on the way — and here to reinforce that fact is the first teaser poster for the film! A few months back (i.e last year) we passed on the news that Paramount, the company behind the last two films, would be releasing another film in the franchise.
Lucky for us there hasn’t been any mention of 3D…yet, but its most likely the third film will not be in 3D — which will break the recent trend of 3D sequelizations. Seeing as Paramount likes to impose reasonably low budgets on the Paranormal films, a 3D conversion seems unlikely — and to be honest a 3D sequel probably wouldn’t cater for the shaky camera effect in this case.
According to sources PA3 is due to hit cinemas in October (US), and sometime after for other countries. So check out the teaser poster below, and as always enjoy!

Frankly it’s a wonder that we’ve lasted so long without a sequel to the dreadful 90’s Robin Williams comedy Flubber all these years. It’s not as if anyone didn’t expect it either, knowing Disney’s view on sequels its almost a surprise! But perhaps they were holding out for something, and according to reports that something was digital 3D, and so comes Flubber 3D.
According to What’s Playing we may have to sit through another painstakingly boring 90 minutes of crappy slap-stick humor, as Disney are apparently already making plans for a Flubber 3D. The story reveals that the studio have been aiming to a sequel for years and are heavily looking into getting Robin Williams to reprise his role as Professor Philip Brainard — heres hoping he doesn’t take it! But judging by the report, Disney isn’t interested in doing it without Williams.
To be honest I would imagen that Williams would want to take the role, as his last project was just as worthless (I mean Old Dogs isn’t my idea of good entertainment). But for his already sinking reputation sake I hope that bigger and better roles lay ahead for him, because with or without him Flubber 3D will be a stinker… I mean come on!!
It’s capital audience have probably forgotten the trauma of seeing the 1997 film! And anyway they’re probably to old and to busy stuffing themselves with twinkling vampires and exploding robots to notice for god-sakes!! Like it or not Flubber 3D is happening, unless by some divine miracle Williams manages to decline…
It’s been a sneaking suspition for me, and fans alike but it’s clear now that Bill Murray is the only one in the way of a Ghostbusters sequel. Ghostbusters cast member Earnie Hudson, who plays Winston Zeddemore in the films, let slip in a interview with a interview with Movie Mike’s, that fellow cast member Bill Murray was holding off on the go ahead for a sequel because it wasn’t up to his standard of work — if it sounds a bit self-important, its because it is.
Saying in the interview that “Bill’s a great guy, he’s kind of quirky but I love him. He’s a guy who is very much into what he’s feeling. I know he really cares about his work, which is probably why there hasn’t been another Ghostbusters as of yet. Dan and Harold are working on the script. If it happens we will see but Bill has been the hold up. His definition of good is a little bit different than everybody elses. So we will see, I would love to see it happen. I know the fans have been asking for it…so hopefully.”
It’s interesting to say the least, that an actor who has been relatively low-key in cinema for the last couple of years choses to be picky over his roles — especially such a crucial film as Ghostbusters 3, which is only just now being put together after something like 21 years. I just find it funny that only now, once the film is looking like it might actually get made that Murray starts to lose faith in the project, I mean come on you selfish sod get it together and get this puppy done!! Trust your buddies Dan and Harold for once!!!
Not all is bad news, recent casting rumors suggest that a replacement may be in order –meaning that Murray may not be needed and his obviously higher standards of careers choices may not needn’t be tarnished — as he so suggests. But I’m sure fans, including me would rather a GB3 with Murray included, it just makes for better film!

A sequel to Robert Rodriguez‘s B movie extension of the fake Grindhouse trailer, Machete, was less than successful – despite earning well over what it was made ($10.4 million) for, taking less than $40million at the international box office – hardly warranting a sequel. But as director Rodriguez heartily promised, sequels are still being planned — and according to lead Danny Trejo, a script for a sequel already exists. Whether it ever gets made is another story.
As a fan of Rodriquez’s work, I thoroughly enjoyed Machete despite the tame nature of the final product — but its a mainstream film..what do you expect. Theres only so much Grindhouse
mainstream america can handle! And they got a guts full, literally. Bloody Disgusting
heard from Trejo himself that a script was out there, entitled Machete Kills
, and would be followed by a further sequel called Machete Kills Again
as diagnosed by Rodriguez.
“I asked him when he was going to write it and he says it’s written, so we can get started pretty quick,” reveals Trejo in Los Angeles. Although as a director, Rodriquez has a few projects to get done before a sequel can even be put forward — with shooting for Spy Kids 4: All The Time In the World
still rolling on. Looking into the future, he seems to be committed to doing a Sin City 2
– which is still clocked in for a 2012 release – so accounting for that and Spy Kids, a sequel looks to be a long way in the distance. In the words of Trejo, “now everyone is waiting for Machete 2 so hurry up Robert Rodriguez!”

It’s clearly a tease, as Simon Pegg tweeted on his official Twitter, “dead things don’t come back” regarding a sequel to the hugely successful zom-rom-com Shaun of The Dead — sorry buddy thats hard to believe seeing as the dead have a habit of coming back! Today Pegg, a avid Tweeter, regarded his fans and followers on his profile about a possible sequel to sub-genre hit. He seemed to want to make it clear that it had be laid to rest. Dead so to speak.
“For the record, there will never be a Shaun of the Dead 2. It’s finished, done, dead and everyone knows, dead things don’t come back.”
Seeing as the last film only came out a meager 6 years ago, I don’t think a sequel at this time would be exactly a good idea anyway — but it looks like Pegg wanted rumors put down. So as usual we got ANOTHER notification that another potential sequel to a popular stand-alone would not be happening, that we already knew wouldn’t be happening in the first place.
But for those unaware, a sequel will surely not be in the horizon — or at least thats what he wants us to think. Either way you chose to read the statement, we know that Pegg himself will possibly taking this one to the grave! So thats it from me and the now dead Shaun of The Dead 2, stay tuned for more!

It’s been a bit of a harsh week for me, I won’t go into detail but now I’m back! Not that anyone missed me!! The hiatus is over, so in celebration of good health heres the first image of the guys in The Hangover II! It’s been a short road, I mean its not as if its been a long time since production started but hey, here it is!
This first image was sent out by Warner Bros. as apart of a preview kit for next years release, and judging by the amount of PR going on at its Thailand location (ruining certain plot points and cameos) its going to be a good one! As well as that WB was kind enough to give us (movie community) a synopsis;
In the follow-up to the record-breaking hit comedy “The Hangover,” Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.
So without further a-due heres the pic! As always enjoy!
Since one of the biggest sub-genre pretty much wrapped it self up this year, refearing to ofcourse the Saw franchise, room has been left for another more mentally demanding horror franchise to make a bid for the top spot and it ain’t Twilight: Breaking Dawn….
I’ll give you a clue, it shocked audiences over the ages of 13 and upwards last year and just recently brought out an terrifingly brilliant sequel worldwide just two months ago, and will be following the tradition of any marjoinally successfull horror franchise would do and come out with another sequel. Yeah thats right, get ready for Paranormal Activity 3!
The second fake found-footage film in the already-shaping up nicely franchise opened against Saw 3D this Halloween and despite that did surprisingly well, not that a sequel was ever in doubt. Now Dread Central confirms that PA3 is in fact in the works and that a release has been set for October 21st of next year, right before halloween time! So for fans and horror-fanatics alike, get ready ‘cus no-longer will Saw have its hold on audiences — surrender to the new super power, Paranormal power.
So not only will they be taking over the Saw franchise entirely but it will also be filling the release slot! And judging by the amount of horror fan-boys out there I don’t think they will tell the difference! So thats it from me and PA3, stay tuned for more info as it comes!
