“Dealing justice one shell at a time!” Goes the awesome tagline to the Grindhouse masterpiece is that is and was Hobo With A Shotgun! Its hasn’t been long since I last posted on Hobo With A Shotgun, and Im already getting excited! I mean, first Machete then this! Its pure gold, its almost as spontaneous as the recently released movie Rubber about a psychic tyre going round blowing people and animals to crap — its just movie magic at its best. I agree that we may be seeing more of these kinds of movies, specifically fake trailers….I mean I don’t know about you but I’m keen for Rob Zombie’s Werewolf Women Of The S.S — but thats just me.
I mean whats more awesome than a Hobo going round with a……well Shotgun, its just awesome. The shit doesn’t hit the fan until around the 1:28 mark which caps of with the Hobo going round shooting people in the face. It’s twisted, don’t get me wrong but its almost the right sort of twisted. Blood, gore, almost comedic killing, its just insane but then again what do you expect from such an awesome idea!
The story goes to its conception that, while making Grindhouse, directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez held a online competition for aspiring filmmakers , to enter a short trailer to be added to the films already awesome trove of trailers. And that trailer was Hobo With A Shotgun, made by first time director Jason Eisner, a trailer which never actually made it to the big screen unlike the fake Machete trailer which did.
