Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengence Gets A 2012 Release Date, And Why No Ones Actually Cares

Personally I don’t care, but Colombia Pictures has announced the release date of their planned Ghost Rider sequel — which will (hopefully) phase the failed attempt in 2004 to bring Johnny Blaze to the big screen. It was announced earlier this year that Colombia was interested in following up the film, and now we will be getting another super-hero film in 2012, February 17th.

So it looks like the Superhero film will be on the rise in the next two years with Thor, X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern, The Spider-Man reboot, the still untitled Batman 3 and The Avengers just to name a few of the upcoming superhero films coming in 2011/2012! And now it looks like Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance is joining the party! I mean talk about a super-hero over load!?
Colombia, Via Super Hero Hype announced that they will be officially releasing the direct sequel the failed 2004 film February 17th, 2012 — adding to the mess of super oriented films being released already. Up until now it wasn’t to clear if they would be rebooting the film – because quite frankly that’s what it needs – rather than a a direct sequel but apparently that’s what they are going with!

Which makes no sense, because the Nicholas Cage Ghost Rider was absolutely terrible! And that’s me toning it down, I mean Nicholas Cage wasn’t the right choice in my opinion I would’ve preferred a relatively unknown. Just because this isn’t your everyday concept, a bad-ass bike rider who sells his soul to the devil and is forced to do the devils dirty work and collect the dead…..big actors just don’t work for films like these.

Personally I think we didn’t need another one, because in my mind it stopped at Nicholas Cage, so thats it from me and Ghost Rider. So stay tuned for more info as it comes.
