Plans for a sequel to Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice have surfaced far and wide since its release, including a less than appealing script titled Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian – which luckily never made it to the silver screen. It seems that a lot of would be movies these days are mainly conceived by the stars themselves – and you wonder why they are never made. Only last week Beetlejuice actress Greene Davis said she would be interested in doing another Beetlejuice, now this week its co-star Michael Keaton who has said he would like to return for a second Beetlejuice, saying when asked by Moviehole if he’d be interested in doing another Beetlejuice. And according to Keaton its the only thing he’s interested in, nothing else.
Keaton, played the obnoxious title character Beetlejuice in Tim Burton‘s movie (1988) of the same name. About a recently deceased couple that haunt their house, and after a New York family move into their house the couple turn to a obnoxious “bio-exorcist” from the underworld named Beetlejuice to drive the New York family from their home. When asked Keaton said (about a second Beetlejuice) “Oh I’d do that in a heartbeat.” Keaton then elaborated further by saying “Absolutely, that’s the one thing I’d love to do again”, adding “That’s the only one I’d love to do.”
