Early reports suggests that Megan Fox was axed from the popular Transformers franchise – but now Fox says she left on her own accord. It was reported earlier yesterday (Wednesday 19th May) that the young starlet, who has starred in the two previous Transformers installments, wouldn’t be included in the production of Bayhem’s third Transformers – which is due to start filming this summer.
A rep from Paramount confirmed to MTV that the company won’t be renewing Fox’s contract. But now Fox, 24, has now said that it was she who opted out.
“Megan Fox will not be starring in ‘Transformers 3,” representatives of the actress told People Magazine. “It was her decision not to return. She wishes the franchise the best.”
As we can all remember last years feud before Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s release between Transformers Director Michael Bay and herself fired up, after the actress compared TF Director Michael Bay to Hitler.
But despite their some what love hate relationship, Bay and Fox were content on reuniting for a third Transformers. But as you have read this isn’t in the books for Fox, as her contract was trashed by Paramount leaving Shia LeBeouf’s character Sam a “new love interest makes more sense for the story,” according to an unnamed source.
Transformers 3 is due to be released in cinemas July 2011.
